Park Lighting has been in business in the Edmonton region for over 30 years. We recognize that our success is a direct result of the strong support we have received from our community. That is why we have made giving back to the community a top priority. Whether it is donating $50,000 to Rehoboth for 50 heads shaved at the grand opening of the new store, or donating an entire day's sales to a special cause, we hold many charities close to our hearts and will continue to help those in need in the future.
In recent tradition we have donated an entire day's sales once a month for four months of the year. Typically, two of the chosen charities have a local focus, while the other two focus on aiding the global community. "We choose charities that are very dear to our hearts," says co-owner, Betty Johannesen.
The success of these "Charity Days" has continued to rise over the years. For example, on November 15, 2014 Park Lighting had a record sales day of $60,637.06; 100% of these sales went to the World Renew: Iraqi Refugee Support.
Along with our sister store Cartwright Lighting, we have donated over $2.5 million to charities such as: Hope Mission, The Mustard Seed Edmonton, Fort McMurray Wildfire Relief via Canadian Red Cross, Rehoboth, World Renew: End World Hunger, and other charities.
We could not do this without the loyal ongoing support of our local community!
